Retort heat treatment furnaces are vertical furnaces that allow moving the vessel with the load up and down in different section of the furnace. The retort heat treatment furnace consists of two gas chambers with interconnected chambers, a hot chamber and a fast cooling chamber. The upper hot chamber corresponds to the classic retort furnace (hot wall furnace). The lower cold chamber is a double-walled water-cooled pipe as an extension of the hot retort, which is additionally equipped with gas nozzles. The vessel with the load can be moved between these two chambers by means of a quick-lift device.
